Google adsense and Entrecard does not add up
If have adsense on your pages that you are sending your entrecard people to .. then you will get screwed with adsense the higher the ctr rate for your pages the less adsense will pay you.. I guess they think that if you get traffic and they don’t click the ads then it is not worth paying for … so for that reason i am going to have change somethings but am trying to figure out how to deal with this should I take adsense off my pages, should I put entrecard on a seperate page with no adsense…. so you veterans of entrecard what do you do.. or how do you monetize with entrecard and make money…
What I decided to do is take adsense off this site cause I will make nothing with entrecard and adsense at the same time… here..

Well, maybe I am not one of the EC veterans you were asking for, but for me I have both, EC and Adsense on my blog. In my opinion it is better to have a few clicks on a low CTR than no clicks on a high CTR.

“…the higher the ctr rate for your pages the less adsense will pay you..”
Are you really sure about this? Where do you get your info from? My AdSense earnings don’t seem to look different even with or without entrecard traffics..

I would find an advertiser that pays for impressions… CPM is the industry term you want to look for. I’ve tried adsdaq and adbrite. I think adsdaq is better, but neither one is “perfect”. You need a lot of traffic (3000 uniques daily) to use the good advertisers.

Candy,
I noticed the same thing. I took off entrecard last month since my Adsense CTR was low. I was getting $.05 per adsense click. Since removing entrecard my CTR is increasing and I am sitting at $.55 per click. I guess all that extra traffic with no ad clicks was not worth it!

Well from my experience Adsense earnings have no effect on whether we use traffic exchangers such as Entrecard. Obviously our CPC will be lower but that is just a statistic which does not apply directly to the amount paid for each click-through so to speak.

I have the CPM ads too. Adsense is really for nonbloggers, not bloggers who are trained not to click adsense. How I moneytize with entrecard? I network with some people there and get subscribers and links with category or niche-mates, when all stats go up, including comments, I have a nice well-traffickd, well-commented blog that advertisers from PW etc. like.

Slow down there! Low CTR is just one factor in what Google calls smart pricing. Yes, for the 2,000 made for adsense blogs, Entrecard is stupid. I too have made for adsense splogs, quite a few actually, not one is on entrecard. Are you going to cry because you made $.80 instead of the usual $1.10? For all other advertising company, the more readers and page views the better. This include Pay Per Post splogs, hence the reasons there are so many in EC.

I am just new to entrecard and am trying to get the gist of it .. I am not crying about it.. I just have been reading lots of blogs and then bounce rates stuff and I am finding it really don’t make any different one way of the other on it .. entrecard is good deal all the way around and have found it very nice to have…. When you are new you read too much I think…
